Dev has been working as a nature guide officially for about 15 years but has been a nature buff since the first time he saw one of Professor David Bellamy's programs at the age of 16. Having worked as naturalist cum recreation manager for 3 beautiful resorts set in the jungles of the island of Langkawi for many years, he has now embarked o¬n exploring other parts of South East Asia.

Officially trained by the Wildlife and Natural Parks Department of Malaysia, also receiving cross training from the knowledgeable Dr. Bernard D'Abrera of the British Museum Natural History and getting huge amount of encouragement from Prof. Bellamy, Dev has followed in the footsteps of his Pal and mentor Mr.Irshad Mobarak to become one of Malaysia's foremost nature guides.

Born in Singapore, raised in Johor, with working experience in Penang and Langkawi, Dev has had a huge amount of exposure and knowledge passed o¬n from his father who worked with the British forces, with the Jungle Warfare School. Now with all that experience behind him he has embarked on teaching as many people as possible through his guided walks about the wonders of nature.
