has about 221 species of birds and on a lucky morning or afternoon
it may be possible to see about 30 species. We know where

Nature guide Dev, who is a birder, was partly responsible
for Langkawi’s bird list and he will show species of
birds on a 4 hour tour on various places on the island. One
may see the great hornbill at the Gunung Raya (Langkawi’s
highest mountain at 894 meters) or some ducks as well as kingfisher’s
at a pond and there is also a choice of spotting some waders.
