Nature Cycling Trip
Ride a bicycle through river banks, paddy fields and forest in this 3 to 4 hour trip. You will experience Langkawi from a total different point of view and you will be surprised what you will meet on the way and during various stops; a good way to get a glimpse of daily life in the villages!
Included: transfer from and back to hotel, mineral water, good quality mountain bike (21 gears), experienced guide, insurance
We recommend to wear T-shirt, short pants, sandals or sneakers, hat or cap and to bring a small backpack and enough sunscreen

Mangrove Kayak Trip

Enjoy the mangroves of Langkawi with a taste of adventure and some exercise during this 5 hour kayak trip. Have a good close up to the ecology of the mangroves while gliding with your kayak through a smaller area in the mangrove jungle away from the larger rivers. During the 5 hour kayaking tour you might be lucky to see monkeys, snakes, eagles (we don’t feed them), otters, other special birds or monitor lizards.

Mangrove Boat Trip

Get close to the amazing mangroves with a comfortable boat ride of 4-5 hours. See limestone outcrops, caves, a former cottage industry based on charcoal from mangrove wood, a fossil location and a lot of amazing plants.
You might be lucky to watch the monkeys, snakes, eagles (we don't feed them), otters, other special birds or monitor lizards during this ride through the mangroves and along the coast of Langkawi 's various islands.

Jungle Trek & Jungle Trek / Evening Walk

This trip is a moderate trek of about 3 hours into the tropical rainforest that gives you the perfect opportunity to explore part of the nature of Langkawi. Our experienced nature guide will show you a few of Langkawi's 400 tree species with a height up to 70 metres, birds, butterflies and some mammals.
If you opt for the jungle trek / evening walk combination (start late afternoon) you will spend the first two hours in the jungle and the last part of the trip you will experience the shift change from day to nocturnal animals with a great chance to spot flying lemurs and one of the flying squirrels (red giant or pygmy).
The jungle is an unforgettable experience for everybody that likes to escape the busy normal life and that wants to experience more about Langkawi's beautiful natural biodiversity.
Morning trek is 3 hours only jungle; late afternoon trek is 2 hours jungle and 1-1.5 hours evening walk, focused on spotting the flying lemurs (100% chance) and flying squirrels - red giant and/or pygmy (80% chance)

Untold Stories

Untold stories of Langkawi During this 6 hour trip all your senses will be triggered as you will get a mix of culture, food, colonial history and its architectural influence. You will visit some interesting places like temples, Malay houses on stilts and the local night market and the guide will tell you all about the Malay culture, food, island legends and various religions. A complete different way of adventure within Langkawi and highly recommended if you are interested in learning more about the local daily life.

Visits: Malay house on stilts, local night market, Lagenda Park, various temples, rubber plantation and dinner with a local Indian family

Bird Watching

During this 5 hour trip it may be possible to spot about 30-40 species of the more than 230 species of birds of Langkawi in the jungle, rice fields or near rivers. The guide will take you first up to the Gunung Raya (highest mountain of the island) to try to spot the mountain birds (possibly the Great Hornbill) and the guide knows exactly where to bring you later to get the interesting species.
A lot of migratory birds will visit Langkawi from November till April, but even without the migratory birds Langkawi is great for birders.

Morning/Evening
Walk
At any time of the day the rainforest has its own sounds, smells and activities, whether this is just after sunrise, before sunset or just in the middle of the day or night. The naturalists of Dev’s Adventure Tours will explain the ins and out of the rainforest and its living creatures during a morning or an evening. It will get people to understand the rainforest from a new angle.
The morning walk will be more focused on information about trees, plants, flowers and the animals that are active during the day like monkeys, squirrels and many butterflies. The variety of birds is amazing and the combination of sea, mangroves and rainforest around the resort is attracting many different bird species.
The evening walk will highlight another interesting part of the rainforest where the nocturnal animals are playing an important role. During an evening walk it will be easy to spot at least half a dozen flying lemurs (colugo) and most probably also one of the flying squirrels (red giant or pygmy).
