Is
it hard to believe that a walk in the early evening or morning
could be more romantic than a candle light dinner? But as
nature guide Dev explains, sunrise or sunset in the jungle
are the perfect times to appreciate Langkawi's natural asset.
The morning/evening walks are held in one of Langkawi's beautiful
resorts and will get people to understand the rainforest from
a new angle.
The walks begin just after sunrise or before sunset, and the
guide starts by pointing out some of the common sounds to
be heard throughout the walk. These include the call of birds
and monkeys waking up or preparing for their bed time. Along
the way he will explain the intimate routines of the rainforest.
The early morning or the evening falling darkness intensifies
the smell of fresh leaves and you will come to appreciate
how much his walk appeals to all your senses.
The morning walk will be more focused on information about
trees, plants and flowers and you might spot some monkeys,
squirrels and birds.
The evening walk will be focused on spotting the flying lemur
and the flying squirrel (red giant and/or pygmy) and a lot
of information along the way about the trees and plants and
other animals.
